Whenever I fell into bottomless despair,

 

Whenever I   got surrounded with silent hopelessness,

 

Whenever someone got me down so harshly,

 

Whenever some precious one turned his back on me,

 

Whenever it seemed the world fell apart right in front of my eyes,

 

...............................................................................................

...................................................................................................

I came knocking at your door totally exhausted and full of tears.

 

Leafing through the flooding images,

 

I let myself dive into the depth of humanity and the Great Nature.

The images came walking slowly into my dry and barren soul.

 

And...lighted it up.

 

 

I found peace,

 

compassion,

 

 solace,

 

consolation,

 

and finally...the love of God Almighty, the Maker of Heaven and Earth here.

바닥 모를 낙심에 빠질 때마다,

 

절망이 소리 없이 나를 둘러쌀 때마다,

 

누군가 나를 무참히 쓰러뜨릴 때마다

,

어느 소중한 이가 내게서 등을 돌릴 때마다,

 

 눈앞에서 세상이 와르르와르르 무너져 내릴 듯 느낄 때마다,

...........................................................................

..............................................................................

지칠 대로 지쳐

 

눈물 속을 헤치고

 

선생님의 방문을 두드립니다.

 

홍수처럼 범람하는 이미지들을 황급히 넘겨보며

 

자신을 인간과 대자연 깊숙이 빠뜨립니다.

이미지들은   내 마르고 헐벗은 영혼으로 서서히 걸어 들어와...

 

나를 밝힙니다.

 

평화를,

 

교통함을,

 

위로와 

 

위안을,

 

마침내... 하늘과 땅을 지으신 절대자의 사랑을 이곳에서 만납니다.
